Before you head to the beach or the neighbor’s backyard barbecue this Labor Day weekend, join our Full Chorus and orchestra for an end-of-the-summer pops concert. Now in its fourth year, our season opener features crowd-pleasing classics from film, Broadway and the pop charts, along with a surprise or two! A fun holiday event the whole family will enjoy.

Festival Invitational Concert: Songs of Joy & Inspiration

United We Sing

Back by popular demand, this attractively priced community concert brings together some of the Lowcountry’s top choristers for an evening of uplifting, entertaining and inspirational music. HHCS Artistic Director Tim Reynolds leads the choral forces as they perform songs from classical radio, the American musical theater, great hymns of the church, and pop charts of today and yesteryear. Youth Choir - Fall Into Winter

A Cornucopia of Holiday Music

From Thanksgiving to Chanukah and on to Christmas, the Youth Choir celebrates the holidays with a family-friendly program of classic carols, traditional folk songs and everyone’s favorite Santa-inspired tunes. The elite Chorale also joins in the holiday music making.

Christmas Tour of Homes

Join us for the 25th Christmas Tour of Homes, a festive Low Country tradition. Magnificent homes will be decorated in their Holiday finery to inspire your Christmas dreams.

Tickets are $25 prior to the tour or $30 the day of the tour. Available at all HHCS ticket outlets.

The Hilton Head Choral Society celebrates its 25th Annual Christmas Tour of Homes. A highly anticipated Lowcountry tradition for 25 years – this year’s tour showcases holiday homes in full seasonal splendor.  The very best of Lowcountry living will be on festive display from noon – 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 6th.  Visit six stunning homes gorgeously wrapped in their holiday best in Bluffton’s beautiful Berkeley Hall.

From Mediterranean villas to Tuscany castles, stunning contemporaries and the classic American Neo-classical Revival, tour-goers will enjoy viewing a magnificent array of holiday homes and interiors shown in Coastal Caribbean lifestyle homes, and the classic architecture of the Gothic-Revival style farmhouse.

Truly a tour like no other, with free drawings at each residence for a magical Mark Roberts Fairy, donated by Pyramids, this wonderful afternoon tour offers visitors an opportunity to leisurely view all the holiday homes on tour.

This longstanding tradition is the primary fundraiser for the Hilton Head Choral Society.  Refreshments and optional reseserved box lunches will be served at the beautiful Berkeley Hall Jeffersonian-style clubhouse, with special concert by the Hilton Head Choral Society Youth Choir.  For tickets call (843) 341-3818.

The Sounds of Christmas: Holiday Classics

A Very, Merry Concert

The Full Chorus, soloists and orchestra celebrate the season with traditional carols, the effervescent Vivaldi “Gloria” and holiday favorites from British composer John Rutter. Hilton Head Choral Society presents CANTUS

One of America’s finest all-male vocal ensembles, Cantus has been wowing audiences for more than a decade with its impeccable singing, engaging stage presence and adventurous repertoire. Critics have been equally impressed with the group’s “astonishing perfection of tone and diction” and “genuinely glorious music-making”.

Founded in 1995 by four students at St. Olaf College in Minnesota, the a cappella ensemble now features nine classically trained singers who enjoy performing a broad and challenging range of musical styles from Gregorian chant to art songs, folk music, spirituals and pop.

Over the years, Cantus has gained international acclaim, touring throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Africa. They can be heard on public radio stations nationwide and are featured regularly on American Public Media’s Performance Today.

Cantus 2010 tour promises to be more exciting than ever with a wonderfully diverse program that includes Curtis Mayfield’s It’s Alright, Four Small Prayers of St. Francis of Assisi, What a Wonderful World and the chain gang song from Rainbow ‘Round My Shoulder.

A must-see performance for anyone who loves music!
